(Coastal Ships and Yachts) The Sailor Fleet 55+ communications terminal offers high-speed and cost-effective voice and data communication in a compact package. With top-quality audio, e-mail and Internet it provides ocean-going vessels with all modern communication options, in a sturdy maritime package.

High performance and high-quality communications at sea: Acting as a hub for all your communication needs, the terminal connects desktop phones, payphones, DECT phones and fax machines. By adding an IP router it even becomes possible to integrate the vessel with onshore management systems or provide e-mail and Internet. The system is simple to configure via user-friendly software on a standard PC.

Reliable and cost-efficient: The Sailor Fleet 55+ operates through the established network of Inmarsat and GPS satellites, including the I4 satellites. The Inmarsat Fleet services are known for fast and reliable transfer of information, 24 hours a day. In addition to the most economic MPDS (Mobile Packet Data Service) solution the Sailor Fleet 55+ also offers the 64 kbps data transfer via ISDN. With MPDS you are charged for the amount of data you send or receive. ISDN charges are per minute and provide a high capacity channel with a constant data stream, ISDN is usually preferred for up- or downloading large files.
